Heading out before the sun came up to paint the sunrise over the vineyards of Los Gatos was my mission that morning… only to arrive to find the gates to the winery were still locked. I had to hop the fence and set up before I missed the 20 minute window before the sun moved on. This piece is my studio version of my plein air study while on site in the Los Gatos Plein Air competition.
