On a recent trip to Catalina Island, I was staying at the Hamilton Cove condominium complex where I was fortunate enough to do a trade with one of the owners. The complex had this crazy basketball court with all of these jagged rocks surrounding it. I found the juxtaposition between playing basketball and having the danger of the outside court area to be quite interesting subject to paint.
