I recently had the opportunity to go on a three week cruise to Hawaii. It was amazing! This piece is the first of a series of images I will be painting. This image is of the back of the ship as it is leaving our last island. It was a sunset with an amazing orange glow that seemed to stall for the longest time. The ocean had this stunning bluish, purple, and turquoise color. The ships turbines were churning up the sea, with what appeared to be 3’-4’ waves
