Powering Telluride for 115 Years

Powering Telluride for 115 Years

$1,650.00

This is a paintng I did of the infamous Bridal Veil Falls in Telluride, Colorado. I was lucky enough to visit this beautiful area again and my brother in law took me and all my gear up in his truck to get me closer.

You can see the falls from downtown Telluride and they are a sight to behold. They are the tallest free-falling falls in Colorado at 365 feet in height. There is a hydroelectric power plant at its top, Smuggler-Union Hydroelectric Power Plant. Built in 1907, the plant generated power for the company town's mines until the 1950s. After being repaired and reopened by Eric Jacobson in 1991, it now supplies renewable energy for Telluride and the San Miguel Power Association.

This is a 20" x 10" vertical plein air oil painting and comes in a gallery style frame.
