I was painting a study of this famous sculpture of the “Sailor’s Kiss the Nurse” in Manhattan at the end of World War II. And this couple walks into my picture and wanted to take a picture. As I look up the husbands looking up the Nurses dress. I had to take a shot. A little levity for a great moment in time.
