Sixty years ago at the age of 8, I entered a drawing contest for a college scholarship from the back of a matchbook. It was a picture of a cat and my mother mailed it in and I received a letter back saying I won! She filled out the form to redeem the award and I got a letter back saying I was disqualified because I was too young. For some reason I remembered this recently and went in search of the matchbooks which I found on ebay. I painted a series of three with a post modern color palette on a wrap around canvas painted on all sides.

It is an original oil painting 18" x 18" and comes unframed. If you would like it framed it will be an additional $200. Reach out to me if you would prefer it framed in one of the box frames I use for these types of paintings.
