This painting came about because I was lucky enough to acquire a pickup truck from a resident of Catalina Island - the owner of a gallery I used to be in. Having the truck allowed me to go through the back roads in the center of the island. I ended up on the uninhabited west side of the island. When I stumbled upon this scene, I was blown away by the untouched, pristine natural coastline.
